Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

Here are some suggestions.

Spray and Wash comes in a green bottle at your local grocery store where they sell stain removers for laundry. I think I paid 2.65 or so for the spray bottle you see in the picture.

I am currently dilluting this one part cleaner to 14 parts distilled water.

You can drip or spray the solution onto the album and then clean with the tools you prefer. In the photo you can see some fine bristle paint brushes that cost me 2.95 each. I use these to clean really dirty albums at the sink.

Then you can see my shop vac and vacuum wands utilizing 1.5mm upholstery velvet. These scrub the grooves efficiently leaving me with a ultra clear sound.

I am using Olly's Spray and Wipe as a second cleaner after the Spray and Wash. Olly's cleaner seems to actually remove vinyl oxidation that forms on the surface of the groove. Now the record is damn near silent. This is as good as it gets. I cannot find any other method that cleans so effectively as this two step process.

Hope this helps. As for the formula, I think the manufacturer's might want money for that!
