I always thought I new what stereo meant but the more I listen to records the more frustrated I get. If I put a mono lp on I get the sound from the centre of the speakers as one should but on a lot of "STEREO" records I get the sound predominantly way of centre. Were these records deliberately produced like this. One would have thought that in the early days of stereo the emphasis would have been to produce pure stereo. Maybe I have problem with my system I am not aware of or my hearing is becomming a problem. Amp and phono are DIY.
