No reply from SME today but I'll let you know when they do.
I'm actually not in a position to buy a new cartridge at the moment I'm just looking ahead a bit. I'm already in trouble for over spending on the TT/arm combo, I wasn't meant to spend more than £150 but my set up was £180, (and good value at that I think). I used to own a Gyrodec / Technoarm / Blue point special until recently but had to sell to fund the house extension. When I sold it I was gutted and this set up was supposed to be a stop-gap but having listened to the Thorens / SME, even with the little A&R cartridge it has fitted, I think it's going to blow the Gyro away, especially for emotion. It makes the Gyro sound very analytical and mechanical. I have high hopes for when I can afford a decent cartridge and stage! Thank you again krenzler for your help, much appreciated.
