Soundnut,
I had the same trouble about a year ago. When I would turn up the volume the table would pick up feedback and howl like a banshee!.
The worst place for my table (re-plinthed L-70 birch ply/mdf 60lb)was in the corner on a wall shelf.I thought it would be ideal there because my TD-150(suspended table)was fine there with half balls under it.
Simple solution!.Build a 4 to 6" deep sand box out of mdf and silicone the joints.Make the top about 1/2" smaller so it rests just on the sand, not touching the sides. Then get some cones on the Lenco. The other thing is getting it out of the corner were those nasty bass nodes reside.
Good luck.
Rob.
