I've used that with success as well. Or CRC BrakeCleen, or Goof-Off (sticker residue remover). The other suggestion of lighter fluid also works well, especially on the bronze bearing sleeve of my Merrill/AR.I'm reticent to recommend strong solvents in many cases because there are all sorts of bearings out there - ones with teflon thrust plates, etc. - that stronger solvents may damage.
However, with a stock AR, the bearing well is all metal, so no worries there.
