Re: anyone using Music Man CONDUCTOR AIR BEARING parallel tracking arm? results?

Yes, it is good, very good.
Setup is critical, as it is with all arms, not just linear trackers.

The main screws holding the arm must be tightened tightly. Make sure the arm is alined parallel with the grooves. A good setup protractor will help, the very basic one they give is only just acceptable. The DB Protrac is better with the other lines perpendicular lines to help with azimuth. Of course you will need a good bubble level to make sure the platter and the arm are flat.

Plan in advance to place the pump outside the listening room. That means you will need a power source near the pump and the tubes running to the arm. Setup is otherwise a breeze. Setting up carts on linear trackers are a whole lot easier than pivoted arms. Other than the pump, there isn't any other noise to worry about.

The sound is fast and detailed, throwing a huge soundstage with rock solid imaging.
