"The Main Refrain" just to hear a beautiful female singing voice.I've been revisiting Marshall Tucker lately. I got sort of burned out on them and hadn't listened to them much the past year. But I've been in a Marshall Tucker mood now that the seasons are changing. Not sure why, maybe reminds me of college days.
"A New Life", 1974 on Capricorn Records, with guests Charlie Daniels on fiddle, Paul Hornsby on keyboard, and Jaimoe on congas. I think this is one of the top two albums they put out. Well, maybe top three. Including "A New Life", "Searching For A Rainbow", and their self-titled debute. Not a coincidence that their first three albums are also my favorites.
Really enjoy that southern country sound with some sax and flute to add some jazz. (Sorry for the insult to you jazz afficienados.) This band is often overlooked by those that don't like "country rock" but it's just different enough from the mainstream country staples that more people might enjoy it if given a chance.
