Suggestions for Technics tweaks?

Hey all,
I am really loving my Technics 1210 mk2 and am really excited about enhancing it even further. There are a lot of threads that already discuss this, too many actually. I was hoping to consolidate some of the advice thats out there.
In General:
Which enhancements are the most valuable? Are there any enhancements that really stand out in anyone's mind? How big of a problem do you think the platter is? What success has anyone had dampning the platter?
Me Specific:
I've already added the KAB arm dampner. (great value by the way)
I would like to change the cabling, power supply and add the strobe disabler. Those are the enhancements that seem most intuitive to me, but I never prided myself on intuition. What order would you recommend these upgrades? I don't have the income to do it all at once. Is there anything that I missed that is more important? Does anyone have a good recommendation for cabling. I did a little looking around on Needle Doctor and couldn't really find much for less than $500. Thats a little rich for me right now. Any good resources for DIY cabling?
