Stylus Rake Angle is the front-to-back tilt of the stylus' footprint on the groove wall. Azimuth is the lateral of side-to-side tilt of the stylus. They both involve tilting the stylus in the groove, but they are in different directions--90-degrees apart. However, a circular footprint on the groove wall has no direction so the front-to-back tilt of the stylus makes no difference whatsoever.Best regards,
John Elison
