Any Vibraplane/similar users out there? Advice pls.

I am building a rack for my stereo. I have a Herzan (similar to passive Vibraplane) isolation table for lab equipment which I was going to use as the top shelf (embedded in the rack) for my high-mass TT.

The guy who had it before me used it with the same high mass TT and the external motor on the table as well. Without thinking about it, I was going to do the same but now I wonder if it wouldn't be a better idea to put the motor OFF the isolation table.

The motor itself is silent and to my ability to tell, does not vibrate in any way, but I could not be sure. I am not sure about the theory here. The vibration I am trying to isolate using the table is earth/floor-borne with a quite low frequency. Airborne vibration is not likely to be much of an issue given the mass of the table.

I look at others' high mass TT set-ups, in person and in system pictures, and I notice that when a elaborate high mass base (granite shelf on custom table, etc) is set up underneath the high-mass TT, the motor tends to be on the same shelf/base as the TT itself, which would mean that the motor is effectively coupled to the TT structure.

Any Vibraplane users ever deal with this issue? Any ideas or advice?
