Re: Question on Project Phono Box and Subsonic Filter.....

For a good two years I used the original Pro-ject Phono Box (not the Mark II) with a PrimaLuna Prolugue II and a series of cartridges on a Pro-ject PRM-4: Ortofon XC-1 moving coil, a Goldring Eroica High Output MC, and, most recently, a BPS EVO III. I never had a rumble problem, and felt that the phono stage outperformed expectations with all of the carts involved. I've got the Phono Box SE right now with the EZVO III, and even though I have the rumble filter on, I don't hear an audible difference in any kind of super-low signals. I think that you could expect that unless the TT in question is producing serious rumble, you'd be fine with the Mk II.

Just my 2 cents.
