Maybe it's due to my age, but I hear no problems with the high frequency extension of my Urushi Wajima in a Wheaton Triplanar tonearm mounted on a Nottingham Analogue Hyperspace and feeding an Atma-sphere MP1 in balanced mode. By all means, let it break in a bit and also play with VTA before you give up on the Urushi. For a reference, I previously owned a Transfiguration Esprit, which is considered a pretty neutral sounding cartridge, and I would say the treble extension of the Urushi is at least its equal or better.
