I never said my record collection was expendable, never.I have no magnafying thingy to look at the stylus and had not played this record in quite a while, like at least a year so this was new to me when I discovered the problem a couple of weeks ago.
I had been suspecting for a while that my time may be near and this confirmed just how crucial it was to replace either the styli or the entire cart, cart it was and I went for a more neutral cart - hence the Shure so that has to account for something, right?
Now I don't play vinyl like I had and it also sat for a year and a half while the stylus was still fairly new between 2002-2003. I may not spin any tunes at all for days before spinging something for a short period so the stylus that I had on the Ort was not wearing out as quickly as it normally would otherwise.
