Loosen the screw at the rear of the black plastic piece (collar?) that holds the cueing device and anti-skate bar. Rotate it counter-clockwise so that the arm gets to the arm support before it drops off the end of the lift. If the arm rest is mounted roughly in the center of the width of the arm board, you will have plenty of leeway and still be able to lift the arm at the end of the record. I've had a 707 on an LP12 for 25+ years, no problems.
If for some reason this doesn't work, I think I'd remount the arm rest closer to the platter. HTH
