Re: Good one Fred! (Totally OT)

Jeff

" Man, those were the days! "

Indeed they were, I loved that Bike ! I aside from being a real screamer it was surprizingly tractable for normal street riding the guy I got it from a Jar head maniac it had 4 into one 1 exhaust
and all kinds of performance suspension tweaks, I wish I still had it :-(

But at one point, I was between the Rock and the proverbial Hard Place, I had two bikes and one had to go, as fine a ride as the big Suzi was, she was worthless off the pavement, even gravel parking lots in Bars were scary :-0 and my R100 S Airhead is damn near impossible to follow on a gravel road in a driving rain with hairy cross winds at 80 mph +, and while the Airhead is a slug by comparison as well as truly idiosyncratic as all get out, however once you've spent enough time on one (at least in my case)a very unique bike/ rider synergy develops.
We've been together since 80 when i was 28, lots of other bikes have come and gone, but Frau Rubber Cow and I are inseparable, she got me home countless times during blackouts in all weathers :-(
so she's kind of like the frumpy Wife that works to put one through Med. School, so I wasn't about to to cast her aside for the Bimbette Receptionist trophy Wife ;-)

Do you still ride Jeff ?

Regards Fred
