While it is possible that I made a mistake, I found the re-wire straightforward and easy compared to other electronics jobs I have done. The Incognito instructions were very clear, and I triple checked each step.

The may be an alternative interpretation. Your description of "after" sounds like what I heard both "before" and "after." Bass is superb (deep organ notes can rattle things on shelves), and the highs of violins and other instruments are silky and airy, very realistic. I did the re-wire primarily because I thought the stock RCAs were crappy, and one was developing an intermittent short. Perhaps before the re-wire, your RB300 had a fault in its wiring that led to the bad sound. The re-wire fixed that and made it sound like it should. I was not impressed with the stock wiring at all.
