At the library, I don't even bother looking through their CD collection (which is huge!) anymore... Loaning CDs makes perfect sense though, But every time I pick up one and consider taking it home, it's crappy! When I used to take those chances, each time I had to stress to the clerk that there were scratches before leaving. Then once I got a Rolling Stones one (SACD hybrid high-class) that actually SKIPPED repeatedly - had never even seen this in over 20 years of buying used CDs - well that was it!!
