Getting a Rush from Rush (oooo, I'm gonna get beat up for this)

My bro-in-law gave me a stack of Rush albums the last time I was in Bethesda. I've never liked the band, never could handle Geddy Lee's helium-hiccup vocals. But I figgered, hey, I've got the albums. Why not clean 'em and spin 'em?
Well, whaddya know? I cleaned and spun 2112 and really got into Side 2.
So I picked up a couple more Rush LPs--a Dutch import copy of Moving Pictures and a regular ol' US copy of Permanent Waves.
I haven't listed to the latter yet, but ya know? Moving Pictures is an excellent album, full of tasty guitar licks, offbeat melodic and chord structures, and (yes) cool lyrics.
And Geddy Lee's vocals actually sound, well, good.
My blue-label Mercury import is scratchy, but there's no groove wear and the sonics aren't bad at all...
My appetite has been whet for more.
