Apologies for hijacking this thread but as I posted earlier, I have the opposite problem.I've done all the necessary cleaning, troubleshooting etc and all suspicion bears down to the ballbearing on the end of the platter spindle.
Reason I say this is cause when I first reinserted the bearing shaft into the well, it spins super smoothly. However, over the course of a couple of days, the platter becomes sluggish (even tho I didn't power it up) probably as the bearing settles at the bottom of the well.
It crossed my mind to replace the ball bearing but was wondering how and what size. The ball bearing seems to be fastened to the end of the shaft. How do I pry it loose?
