Lightning strikes!

While I haven't posted here in along time I still browse the forum occassionlly and still collect and listen to vinal. I've nothing of real importance to say, but today was my day for the gods of collecting smile on me and I've just got to tell someone who appreciates vinal. The wife and I went to a garage sale early and found approximatley 400 records lined up on a shelf, .50 each, a mix of classical (mostly), pop, and a little jazz. I picked out 47 that looked especially tempting and went home. After checking through them and finding them all in far better shape than the appeared on cursory inspection at the sale, I went back about 1:00 PM to pick up a few more. Surprisingly almost all the classical was still there. I picked out about thirty more, went to pay and was told to just take them home. In fact, take as many as I wanted. I added 145 records to my collection today for $23.50, only two or three are duplicates and each is in better condition than what I alreay have. I don't know whether to be more excited about Glen Gould's 'Goldberg Variations' (the second version) or Duke Ellington's 'The World of Duke Ellington' or . . . Ahhhhh, it's a great day.
