Hi.You bet. Here is a live example.
My elder son, John, a veteran 26-year-young amateur classical pianist, formally graduated in our city's Conservatory of Music with first class hounour, never owns any HiFi. He still listens music of his favourite masters, like Chopin, from his PC, discman & walkman which I gave him as Christmas gifts many years back.
Yet he got razor-sharp sense of musical keys. He can size up whatever key the music is playing, live or reproduced regardless, in split seconds. Never fail.
One time when he was invited back to the Conservatory of Music for a practical examinination rehearsal of some candidates, he tried out the Steinway grand there & commented the piano was out of tune.
In fact, it was later re-tuned before the examination carried out.c-J
