The Val Young album "Seduction" does have Rick James' mid 80's polished, electronic sound stamped all over it (his peak sound and fame with the Mary Jane Girls,Process and the Doo Rags right before going into a slump). But it's great R&B pop-funk debut by VY, nevertheless...Opening track "Mindgames" on VY's album is a killer tune and quite a few other's----they seem to have that RJ "17"sound with MJG's "In My House" and a tad of that Eddie Murphy song Party something or other (never one of my favorites)...Val Young's vocals are great as she also used to sing back up as one of Parliament Funkadelic's Brides of Funkenstein/Bootsy Collins...After her debut LP, she did one more album under Rick's production called "Private Converstaions" from 1987 which that one is extremely rare and have only seen some pirated copies on eBay...who knows if it sounds as good as her first album, betters it, or shows that Rick James was really starting to decline in production style, or just sounds dated.Yes, indeed---got to www.youtube.com and key in Freeez AEIOU and the video will pop up----and it's not an Afro-American group, either...Don't confuse it with another 80's group EbonOzone or something that also had an AEIOU song...

MattB
