I do vibration analysis as part of my job. Each brg has a frequency signature based on the inner diameter of the outer race, the outer diameter of the inner race, and the diameter/qty of the balls.
The running clearance of the brg is dependent on the press fit amount of both the od and id. You can also vary the clearance with different brg specs. My vibration sensor can be programmed for the manufacturer and # of the brg, this will create notch filters or at least give me a place to see were the brg noise is. The inherent frequency a brg produces is absolute, not guesswork. Changing a brg style incurs more variables than at first it might appear. Just some rambling...
