I have learnt from a few years of having a clumsy girlfriend. I know she means well but sometimes the fear induced as she approaches the turntable is almost too much to cope with. Just after installing a Lyra Argo, I watched her put on a cardigan and swish the sleeves about as she did so... I had the guard on and so all was well. It's not just her, I have dislodged the arm from the rest before and sent it across the platter towards the clamp and the guard has saved the day again. The Lyra has a guard which is quite easy to install and so a couple of deep breaths and on it goes... unlike my friends Koetsu, F#%k his luck with that little thing he has to save the day. I remember the days of my Audio Technica 110e when you just flipped it down and all was well......
Cheers,
K
