Digitally remastered in 1990 likely means the original master tapes (or in some cases analog safety copies) were transferred onto digital tape which was used to cut the LP. By doing this, the label could reduce the use of the original master tapes by utilizing a digital copy for any projects it did. Good for them, lousy for us. But, in many cases audiophiles find that LPs made from a digital copy sound better than a CD made from the same digital copy. Best to stay away from them all, in my opinion.If you want great sounding Zeppelins on LP, you can get them on Classic Records 33 1/3, 200-gram LPs or on the recently released box set of 45rpm-mastered 200-gram single-sided discs (a 48 disc set). I just posted a review of this box set three days ago. I'd suggest reading it if you're interested in the best sound, but with qualifications. Review link is below.
