Vinyl Asylum Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ. |

As I actively return to vinyl, ending almost a twenty five year exile, I found in my cave an old, 1975, but apparently never used record brush and a nearly full bottle of ‘record preservative.’ Markings are ‘Sound Guard Record Preservative’. Since I have discovered I have many record brushes, I am sure I was buying the goods of every record snake oil salesperson that was active in those days. Anybody know anything about the ‘preservative or its genesis?’ It shows up on e-Bay from time to time.
