In most of the Oxy type powders I have seen here, the two ingredients are sodium percarbonate and sodium bicarbonate.
We use sodium percarbonate at the winery as an oxidizer to kill micro-organisms on equipment. I believe it works by destroying the cell wall.
The percarb leaves a slimy residue after use...we use citric acid to rinse. Not sure if that would be a good idea though.Leaving something to soak in sodium percarb over night really does work...shiny and clean.
I have no idea where you will find it though...maybe food processing places?Steve
