Orb Disc Flatter, Locked or Unlocked?

Just have purchased a disc flatter: ORB DF-01
Work on a few dish-warp LPs and the results are unanymous excellent.
Notice that the two locking devices on the front certainly affect the pressure on disc, though the flatter is already heavy enough.
If the two locking devices are on, the disc will be sanwiched tighter, and vice versa.
Does anyone know whether the two locking devices should be on or off during the flatting process?
Any ideas welcome. TIA.
