Magic Eraser vs. Zerodust

Okay, time has come to say the question that begs to be answered.

So, I've been using a Zerodust here for years, plus the very ocassional liquid treatment (Last stylus cleaner) for the crud that won't let go easily of a stylus. So far this has worked me wonders, as I can inspect the cart using the Zerodust lid/magnifier and see on backlight... no single speck of dust on the stylus tip for my still thankfully 20/20 vision, and I've made myself the habit of checking it before and after each session.

I got some Magic Eraser samples a while ago. Tested them, tried to find out what was the big deal, and... I dunno, perhaps I am missing something out, but I'm still clueless at how this can be a better alternative to the Zerodust. I mean, it's really a sponge (a very fine sponge, though) and the fibers sometimes didn't even touched the tip. Is the secret on the Mr.Clean stuff these sponges carry? Or my samples weren't up to scratch?

So please, enlighten me oh fellow inmates. Because as long as I can get a spic n'span stylus with the stuff I've always used, I fail to see the point of using something else besides doing it for mere diversion. Thanks.
