As noted: unweave (if you haven't already), and experiment with the length of the loop. On my ET-2 I have not used the Discovery wires, but have used Cardas wire with no problems after doing the above. The only issue with Cardas wire is that it can be difficult to solder (getting the varnish off) but there are plenty of posts in the archives addressing that.John K.
