I moved mine about a month and a half ago...giant pain in the ass...things are heavy. Not as many as you, but a couple thousand anyway.Anyway, I went to the grocery store early when they were unloading the produce and had them give me the empty apple boxes. They are quite sturdy and these just happened to be about the perfect width. They were a bit long, so they held enough to be a bit too heavy, perhaps. But they held up nicely.
Could be worth a shot if you'd rather get up a little early than pay for boxes.
