Well recorded live works do have quite a bit of room resonance or eigenton information. It takes a playback system with low noise, low distortion, and wide bandwidth to capture it clearly enough to hear and feel it to the point that it adds to the illusion of a truly "live" musical experience.I have some recordings, especially those recorded in large enclosed venues such as cathedrals, you can literally hear and feel it when the stylus hits the first recorded groove!
I would say that this is proof positive that the Russco is indeed a nice step up from the Thorens.
