as a sampler, double LP version only, and quite easy to find actually, even SS. I got one off the rack two years ago in Montreal for about 15$.Yes, it would be a good introduction.
Vol. 2 of the YCDTOSA series, the Helsinky concert, is available on vinyl but as an expensive import to North Americans. Now rare, probably.
