I don't think that a half inch will make enough of a difference to pull the tonearm back dramatically. Sounds like there's other problems. But for Marty's sake, I measured the line length on my mmf-2.1 and it was 75mm (just shy of 3 inches) from the weight to the bottom of the loop.Tom
