John, I tried a different brand of paper - 'Office Works Premium', which is actually made in the US (the 'Reflex' paper was made here is Australia...though the former is actually cheaper to buy, go figure??).Anyway, the Office Works paper shows a much more consistent weight than the 'Reflex'.
I measured 5 sheets and got: 5.06, 5.07, 5.10, 5.09 and 5.04g - again these measurements were repeatable with .01g precision.
This paper also weighs very close to spec.
I used the sizing of 297x210mm = 0.06237m²
For 80gsm paper, one sheet should weigh: 0.06237x 80 = 4.9896gIf this paper is close to spec, then my scale appears accurate within a few hundredths of a gram.
