Ace is my favorite member of Kiss and I loved the Frehley's Comet show I saw at the Warner Theater in downtown DC many years ago, way better than Kiss at the Capitol Center, but Randy was incredible. If you find Ozzy blizzard of oz, diary of a madman or tribute check them out. I am sure Ace himself would admit he prefers Randy's playing to his own.I'm pretty much a novice to George Clinton and his bands Funkadelic and Parliament, but I like what I've heard, funky jamming rocking music. I can't compare them very well to the people you named because I am only familiar with Rick James and only know super freak. Parliament does have the funk of super freak with a lot more jamming. I do have a Rick James album but have not listened to it.
