History of US Pressings: Emerson Lake & Palmer

Hi, I'm confused about the chronology of their labels released in the States. Where they first released on Atlantic THEN Cotillion, or vice versa? Then, was everything released on Manticore?

I gather that the Cotillion is the preferred recording for domestic releases, though I bought what looked to be a mint recording of Pictures at an Exhibition today that had fairly annoying surface noise. I have an Atlantic pressing that has little surface noise, but the recording itself sounds somewhat faint compared with the Cotillion.

I have a nice Cotillion pressing of the first album, though.

Just interested in the domestic pressings ... though, of course, I wish I had the Import Islands. Not too easy to find in the cheap bins, though.
