From my perspective, my music system has been a work in progress for the past twenty five plus years. Understand, for some of us poor souls, this is an addiction for life...
I evaluate my system spend in terms of 'years of disposable earnings expensed' and the attendant opportunity cost. Also, I accept that the open market value of my system is next to worthless -you would be very hard pressed to get £20 per box in the local boozer.
Back to your question, for those hardcore indivduals, once opportunity cost issues have been abandoned, then price-point seriously exceeds any class A addiction.
