I have been listening to Karajan's Leonore Overture
DG Bicentennial collection volume 1 -- v. g.

Gieseking/von Karajan's Beethoven emperor concerto on Odyssey -- great performance medocre recording -- or maybe it is my record--

And the best of the afternoon Angel Box of Nathan Milstein playing 3 Great Concertos -- I love Nathan Milstein's playing--and it is a beautiful piece of music.

I was going to use the day as an occasion to wash the unprocessed Beethoven in the basement, but have been tinkering around with some cables so it will have to wait.
