For Christmas, a couple folks on the show chipped in for an RCA 44 ribbon mic, which he had apparently been coveting for years. And today during his farewell to "terrestrial" radio, he mentioned that he prefers carts to digital clips.
And even though he's moving to a digital medium, his new Howard 100 News program is made to sound just like a news program from the 60s or 70s (with the orchestral music intros, typewriters in the background, etc etc)
Anyway, FWIW, found it interesting.
