Instead, you might do a lot worse than visiting this link. I don't necessarily agree with the author's opinions for each and every symphony or conductor (but then again, whenever does that happen?), but he has listened to very many more performances of those 9.5+1 symphonies than I, and dare I say in all likelihood other Inmates, have.
If you like opinionated recommendations, he also has the same for Beethoven symphonies.
