Collected this 200gm vinyl album this morning and finally found time to listen to it this evening. Some initial reactions:- Presentation/Cover: Well-made jacket, no loose flaps, excellent printing and artwork.
- Pressing & Finish: Labels well-centred, edges a bit rough (not "milled")
- Surface Quality: Very quiet, very clear, no "fuzzy bits"
- Overall Sound: Well balanced, vocals crisp with no "tizz"
- Arrangements: Typical Tommy LiPuma, professional, moody & relaxed
- Performance: DK not quite at her very best ("Love Scenes" better)
- Overall Impression: An excellent reason to have vinyl replay facilities...- Reflections: Probably a bit too "seasonal" - will only get played 2-3 weeks a year..
