and looks correct according to what I have heard after listening to several set-ups using the various alignments. I have placed the Rega cartridges after using the Rega protractor on top of other protractors and found them to agree in the past and be very close on others, but don't have all of the protractors around any longer to verify which was which. It seems that the concensus is that it was the Stevensons that is the closest match for the Rega template. There was some question and debate about that on the Rega forum as the templates look different, but it is the end result that is important. As odd and as different as many of the devices seem, many of them produce the same or very similar results.
I have used Baerwald protractors printed black on white here for some time and find them to provide the best results with the greatest variety of cartridges although I can't really complain about the sound of the Rega cartridges when mounted according to their specs. For the sake of standardization and for the ability to best align other makes, I rely on a couple of Baerwald devices. I sold a few of the more valuable and hard to use types, prefering the more simple and cheaper paper templates!
