I have Garrot Optim FGS (the "$US 1600" one). It is a lovely
cartridge and reminds me a bit of the Grace Ruby. It has some nice 'color' in the midrange which most MMs seem to lack. I prefer it to the MusicMaker2. The MusicMaker2 is a more 'conventional' MM and is closer to Shure & Stanton. I would love to get a Nottingham Tracer to compare it with. To my ears, the Garrott Optim FGS is superior to all MCs at same price point...but not sure if it is worth the price.Munna
