I have a step up for LOMC and when I had a LOMC I would often switch between LO and HO just to play with my need for constant tweaking.Like Bill (KT88) said, "I will probably buy all three!" ;-)
The Reference Master is a HO from what I am reading now. So it will be a good match for my MM input.
My vinyl RIAA is a Precision Fidelity C7A hotrodded to replace the two 12AU7's with two 6DJ8's. I run these and 4 Groove Tube Mullard 12Ax7's in cascode.
I am listening to the six Paganini Violin Concertos today, Salvatore Accardo playing with the London Phil.
You should hear the violin! All this from a stupid little Ortofon X3-MC, my modified Rega 250, A-M Systems solid core silver tonearm wire with Homegrown audio silver tipped RCA's, a Pete Riggle VTAF and Kerry F2 Titanium Counterweight.
I just want a better cartridge now to hear what this rig can really dish out.
Cheers.
And YES YOU ARE RIGHT I AM COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY CONFLICTED HO? LO? Hell pass me the Bourbon!
