Not an answer specifically to your question, but a much better sounding table to either of those can be had so inexpensively nowadays that you really might want to consider splurging a bit in order to really appreciate the potential benefits of playing vinyl.The MMF 2.1 is about $300 and comes with a cartridge to get you started. This will sound better than either of those particular models. Furthermore, if the tonearm bearings aren't kept up to snuff, they can permanantly ruin your records. This happened to me with an old Dual (502) of mine that I pulled out of storage. Rather than sink money into a repair of a mediocre table, I bought a new one. I haven't looked back.
