Actually, aside from the Grado hum issue with high output Grados and the unshielded motor of the Rega table not going together, Grados and Regas make a very good match. I have heard this combo once and it was full of musicality and great energy. No problems with bass. The Master is terrific if you have the right arm. I currently have a Statement Master, but unfortunately, the current JMW-9 I have is a bit too light to do the Grado justice. Harry Weisfeld is currently working on a heavier version of the JMW-9 that will probably work better.
In any event, the Rega arm is considered more of a mid-weight effective mass tonearm. My suggestion is to call up Grado (their number is listed on their site) and get their opinion on tonearm matching.
