Cartridge coil busted? Part Deux

This is just a followup on the post I made several weeks ago - and following the advise of garth

I made a test with a meter. The red/green (right) gives a reading of ~15ohm (datasheet says 10ohm). Left channel (white/blue) has no reading at all. Nada. Zilch. :-P
The left channel is the one with no sound. Bad 'coincidence'? Karma?
Can I pronounce it dead or is there still hope?
Guess I have to bring it back to the supplier to retest before I consider junking it or repairing it ...
... need another cart ... I guess ...
