A simple wet clean will obviate just about any static as should humidity above 35%, a quality CF brush will drain it off to some extent as well. I'm in the habit of using more up to date "Dust Bug" type devices, Keith Monks and Thorens both make or have made dandy ones with CF fiber brush heads and a grounding wire I've always found these essential in the winter particularly when I'm running my fireplace or wood stove.
