With the goldring elektra cartridge you may not notice a big difference with find tuning. Luckily the rega arms are pretty straight forward compared to most other arms and relatively easy to set up so there wont be alot of cursing on your part:). What I am thinking though with your arm is the vertical bearings at the back of the arm, check the arm for play as I know that some on the NAD's rb250 arent adjusted properly straight out of the box which can have a large effect on performance. uncamp the arm holder and gently pull the arm back and forth to check for any play, If you dont feel any it should be fine...If you do send me an email at clewisb@yahoo.com and Ill give you the neccessary information for adjustment if you are feeling confident:)..
Best Wishes
Colin
